Each year approximately 6000 cancer and leukemia cases are reported for children under the age of 16.
INCOME LEVELS OF THE FAMILIES
87% Minimum wage or below
15% Has no income at all
13% Above minimum wage
Unfortunately 87% of our families have income at the level of minimum wage or lower. They are faced with many problems including having to leave their treatment halfway, economic poverty resulting from loss of employment, hard to find medication as well as bone marrow issues. Even if they win their battle, at the end of 3 years, even the most well to do families are left in a dire condition.
PRIOR TO LÖSEV…
The rate of families who had to abandon the treatment hallway due to poverty and bring their children back home was 54%. Unfortunately the treatment success rate at the 1990’s was 20%.
LÖSEV was founded in 1998 and fixed this unfortunate situation.
