Miltiadis Kyrkos and the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D) host the exhibition entitled "Faces of Turkey", on January 7th to 11th, 2019.
In 2018 Council, Commission and the EP decided to cut part of the funds of the instrument for the Pre-Accession of Turkey. However, these funds supported, among other actions, projects concerning the migration flows, border control and the work of various NGOs. But the work of the NGOs is the cornerstone of all social efforts and deserves our full support
Our exhibition brings together civil society organisations focusing on various fields with outstanding stories. Join us to meet these civil society actors from Turkey and get an insight to the work that they are doing.
Christos Stylianides, Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid, will deliver the opening speech on January 8th at 17:30.
The exhibition brings together 11 Turkish NGOs and 2 individuals working in autism early diagnosis, children leuchemia, women's shelter, HIV+ awareness-raising, education for children with one or no parents, library for the visually-impaired, fatherhood training.
